The Food & Health Equity Coalition of Essex County, NJ (FHEC) officially launched on February 1, 2024! With over 50 organizations represented, the launch of FHEC marked the exciting beginning of a cross-sector collaboration to address food and nutrition insecurity in our county.

Food & Health Equity Coalition Among First-Ever Grant Recipients of New Food Security Access Fund
FHEC is proud to be included as one of the first-ever grant recipients of the Food Security Access Fund, a collaborative, cross-sector fund led by The Tepper Foundation and the New Jersey Office of the Food Security Advocate. This support will grow our data, research and evaluation work to identify new strategies to end food insecurity in our community.
